Manly Beach – A Visitors Paradise

| July 2, 2015

Manly is a fascinating suburb of Sydney due to its geography. Its commercial centre sits just two miles north of Sydney Cove’s North Head on a narrow land bridge. This large sand spit keeps the calm waters of Sydney Harbour separated from Manly’s famous Pacific Ocean beach.

Connecting the beach to the wharf for ferries to Sydney is The Corso, a wide pedestrian street mall lined with popular surf shops, pubs, cafes, galleries, and street entertainment. Kids love the built-in fountains where the water rises up a foot and a half every thirty seconds. On a hot summer day adults also use the water to cool off.
