Australia’s Top Beaches

| November 7, 2014

There are over 11,000 Australian beaches surrounding a 16,000 mile coastline. Some are near impossible to find, and some, like Bondi Beach in Sydney, are a magnet for beach-lovers around the world. With the largest coastline of any island in the world, there are some incredible spots to surf, sun-bath and swim.

Bondi Beach is among the world’s most well-known beaches. Its short one kilometer (.6 of a mile) length packs quite a punch when it comes to entertainment, bronzed Aussie bodies, white sandy beach, and not to forget, great surfing.Excellent cafes, seafood restaurants, bars and clubs line the seafront.

B&B’s, backpacker’s accommodation, and luxury apartments with views from all angles, are all within strolling distance of the beach.

Activities usually kick off at dawn, with joggers hitting the promenade, bodybuilders flexing their muscles, and surfers catching a few waves before work. And, of course, the sun-worshipers. Sounds a bit like California with an accent.
